  • Anyone ever heard of a group called King Sour?

They were from Richmond, VA and were putting out stuff in the mid-90s. Very odd time, dissonant, instrumental music. Really tight musically though. Their first album "Instrumentally Retarded" is on Itunes.

But for the real reason of my post: I am trying to find a copy of their cd "Nipple" as some asshole jacked my whole cd collection and that is/was my most prized cd and the one I am going to have the hardest time replacing.

I lived in Richmond from '86 - '92 and saw those guys live quite a few times just before I moved. They were great. There were a few other local bands along those lines like Alter-Natives and Breadwinner that I liked a lot as well. Unfortunately, I don't have any King Sour releases. I'm thinking that your best bet might be to call Plan 9's Richmond store. They were always the best place to find local stuff, even when it went out of print.

Hopefully they'll ship to the US.

I found a P.O. Box & email for the label, Shameless Records, but the info is from '94, so I doubt it'll help, especially the email address:
