  • Good Mourning/Black Friday is brilliant...

Seriously, this is without a doubt the most bad ass song ever.

The lyrics, the insane riffs, the solos, the clean intro with Poland's dark leads.

My favorite Megadeth song by far, with Holy Wars coming in a close second.

    Killer, intruder, homicidal man.
If you see me coming, run as fast as you can.
A blood thirsty demon who's stalking the street.
I hack up my victims like pieces of meat.
    Blood thirsty demon, sinister fiend,
    Bludgeonous slaughters, my evil deeds.

My hammer's a cold piece of blood-lethal steel.
I grin while you writhe with the pain that I deal.
Swinging the hammer, I hack through their heads,
Deviant defilers, you're next to be dead.
I unleash my hammer with sadistic intent.
Pounding, surrounding, slamming through your head. Yeah!

Their bodies convulse, in agony, and, pain.
I mangle their faces, till no features remain.
A blade for the butchering, I cut them to shreds.
First take out the organs, then cut off the head.
The remains of flesh now sop under my feet.
One more bloody massacre, the murders' complete.
I seek to dismember, a sadist fiend.
And, blood baths are my way of getting clean.
I lurk in the alleys, wait for the kill.
I have no remorse for the blood that I spill
A merciless butcher who lives underground.
I'm out to destroy you and ,I will, cut you down.
I see you, and, I'm waiting ,for Black Friday.

    Killer, intruder, homicidal man.
If you see me coming, run as fast as you can.
A blood thirsty demon who's stalking the street.
I hack up my victims like pieces of meat.
I lurk in the alleys, wait for the kill.
I have no remorse for the blood that I spill
A merciless butcher who lives underground.
I'm out to destroy you and ,I will, cut you down.

It's Black Friday, paint the devil on the wall.

You have no idea, I've had Peace Sells for years but it's one of those songs that I sat through one day and went "Holy shit."

Now I can't stop listening to it.

                    Man, same here.

Rust In Peace was that defining album that once I put in, it was like "Yeah, this is the greatest shit I've ever heard."

But the more I listen to Peace Sells the more I find that album superior to Rust In Peace.

The production was simple and perfect, the tone was thrashy as shit, and the musician ship was genius.

Chris Poland is such an incredible lead player, it's mind numbing.

When I first got Peace Sells, it was to me "A pretty good album."

The only songs that stood out for me were; Wake Up Dead, Peace Sells, Devil's Island and My Last Words.

The rest felt like fillers to me.

Now I think Conjuring has some of the most intense riffs ever, Good Mourning/Black Friday is just and overall masterpiece, Bad Omen stomps ass and I think I Ain't Superstitious is an awesome song to hear Megadeth playing.

This has certainly become my most favorite album.

                      Ditto,

This album is their finest moment, alongside RIP, I tend to not listen to peace so much these days, because when i do it's on 6 months solid, it pisses my mrs off when its the only cd in the car and it's the only album getting boomed around the house everyday!
Poland is awesome, he made TSHF album great with his guests slots, even if that album was just a record label filler..

Anyone else think the RIP remaster is a total bastardization?

I dont care for any of the Megadeth remasters. I really dont care for any remastered albums to be honest.
The remastered Ozzy albums were a crock of shit as well. I wish that they'd just leave well enough alone sometimes...
                          'Howling in shadows
                          Living in a lunar spell
                          He finds his heaven
Spewing from the mouth of hell'
