There are a few songs that feature a vocal solo with a female voice and usually one of the backup singers comes to the front of the stage to sing it or they bring out a guest singer(All observation from various videos).
actually, they don't bring back-up singers on tour. they used them in europe when they filmed their live DVD, but for the US shows, the guys cover the vocals and the female vocalist helps.
GEAR:
some guitars...WITH STRINGS!!!! most of them have those sticks like on guitar hero....AWESOME!!!!
some amps...they have some glowing bottle like things in them...i think my amps do that modelling thing....COOL, huh?!?!?!
and finally....
i have those little plastic "chips" used to hit the strings...WHOA!!!!
I am going to see Kamelot in a couple weeks, but I really, really, hope Khan sounds good. I saw them last time they were here in Seattle and he simply couldn't sing the songs, straining to hit notes, singing the lowest part in the multi-harmony sections, etc. At Wacken, it was the same routine, though he was a little bit better.
