I would agree if we could find cures for Herpes, Hepatitis, AIDS, etc. Even the pornstar level blood tests aren't quick enough to catch many STD's in their formative stages.

The best cure is prevention. Legalize it and make the people who choose to enter the field be health checked and licensed.

Some porn stars get blood tests like every two weeks. Which hasn't stopped some of them from contracting diseases when they get into the amateur market. Can you possibly screen all the clients? Not likely. The governor was what? John number nine that day?

well you could then also enforce using condoms which will prevent most of these diseases, and I really don't think the reason it is illegal in the US is the chance of contracting deseases

Again, the governor insisted on not using a condom. If the client offers enough money, the prostitute will do anything. Nature of the business.

Prostitution is illegal for a lot of reasons — difficult to tax, inviting to criminal control, moral and family stability issues — but public health is definitely a principal concern.
