LOL :ROTF: Tori Amos almost made my list... it would be a hard choice between Little Earthquakes and Under The Pink. I love her, but I listen to the metal more.

                You fuckers kill me..

I briefly met Tori Amos at the airport...alot of you guys like her...does she write cool songs? For Female songwriters/singers I'm partial to Anneke of The Gathering..I love her voice.
"Bill, Smoke a Bowl and Crank Van Halen I, Life is better when I do that"
                Donnie Swanstrom 01/25/06..miss ya!

"Well, your friend would have Bell's Palsy, which is a facial paralysis, not "Balls Pelsy" like we're joking about here." Toejam's attempt at sensitivity.

She writes very good songs, plays piano and has a great voice. She was raped when she was younger and has written about that and also about her prudish Catholic upbringing and the hypocrisy of it.
She did a cover album in 2001 called Strange Little Girls... the second to last song on the album is Raining Blood... it's slowed down a lot with the piano, but it's fucking eerie! Kerry and Tom sent her some Slayer shirts. In the '80s, she was in a band called Y Can't Tori Read, with Matt Sorum on drums. Her first solo album came out in 1991.
                  Here's her website. http://www.toriamos.com/

Joe Stump - "Speed Metal Messiah"
Eric Johnson - "Ah Via Musicom"
                    Van Halen - "I"
                    Rainbow - "Down to Earth"
Pat Benatar - "In the Heat of the Night"
Axel Rudi Pell - "The Wizard's Chosen Few"
Jimi Hendrix - "Axis: Bold as Love"
                    Pat Metheny - "Imaginary Day"
Paul Gilbert - "Get out of my Yard"
                    Michael Orlando - "Sonic Stomp"

I had SRV's "In Step" on there, but it brought the total to 11.

Honestly, if I was heading to a desert island, I think I'd just take my 160 gig iPod and not be limited to a measly 10 discs.

Ahem Joe, you conveniently forgot to mention that Tori is a hot piece of ass who has an unusual way of sitting on her piano stool, and has been know to perform sans undergarments.

But, yeah, she's also a genius songwriter, and incredible singer too.
                            Sleep!!, That's where I'm a viking!!

Yes, that, too! I've got her live DVD around here somewhere, Welcome To Sunny Florida. Time to dig that out and watch it later.

In no particular order and possibly including compilations..

                                1. YJM's Rising Force
                                2. Brad - Interiors
                                3. Faith No More- Angel Dust
                                4. Joe Satriani - Surfing with the Alien
                                5. Pearl Jam - Ten
                                6. The Prodigy - The Fat of The Land
                                7. Queensryche - Rage For Order
                                8. Soundgarden - Badmotorfinger
                                9. Tori Amos - Boys For Pele
                                10. Badlands - Voodoo Highway

To be honest narrowing it down to 10 is very difficult because there are about 10 more albums it would kill me to exclude. Luckily I would still be able to hear all of them in my head when it was quiet on the island.
                                GTWGITS! - RacerX
