I haven't seen this one, but I liked the 70s remake with Charlton Heston, "The Omega Man". Apparently that one isn't like the book either.

I saw the movie and it was damn good compared to what I've seen lately.
I almost liked the alternate ending better, but it was missing something too. Did he make the zombie girl back into a zombie as a barter? That's what I think happened in the alternate ending there. I didn't really care for that. I think they should have kept the grenade thing, but had him dive into that hole with the kid and girl with the blood sample at the last second.

Ah well.

I am going to say it's the best zombie flick that wasn't trying to be ridiculous that I've ever seen.

I think the alternate ending was the trendy one, I like the ending they used a little better. The alternate ending is kinda incomplete imo
