Leave them alone, and let them chase the stray cats out.
Nature knows what it's doing, and sent you an answer.
we dont have stray cats unlike fett. i have 3 cats and a Min-Pin though, and i dont want to deal vet bills. i hope it was just a passer by or end up as road kill like most of them around here. this was the first one i have seen during the day though. i had a bobcat about a month ago run out in front of me, and god knows how many deer i've had to hit the breaks for. only one bear so far.
I have a Russian made AK 47 style pellet gun and its very accurate.Killed many a pigeon and crow with it.Cool thing it has a folding stock and looks pretty wicked.
Slingshot with ball bearing shot. Silent but deadly; probably more practical for the raccoon than the crows though since a BB gun has a higher rate of fire.
Those raccoons will kill your cats though, possibly your Min-pin too. Live and let live is one thing, but if that raccoon kills one of your pets you will wish you'd killed it first. You can't blame the raccoon, it's nature at work. But if you want to protect your own pets, you either keep them inside at all times or you eliminate the threats that come too close for comfort.
A raccoon can fuck YOU up pretty well too, so don't try apprehending one manualy. Get a trap cage and bait it with food if you don't want to kill it.
