  • AIM 6.5 Crashed my Vista Laptop

I had a strange crash from Vista last week so I ended up having to do a restore to an earlier date to get it back. What happened was my wireless would show me as diconnected when I was connected and made all my video & audio files not play. I wasn't 100% sure what it was but I did remember the last thing I installed was AIM. So today I decided to see if it was the AIM and sure enough, after I installed it I had the same exact problems. Uninstalling AIM had no effect and only restoring it again fixed it. I rarely use AIM anyways since it sucks and Yahoo IM is frekin light years ahead of it.

    All AOL products suck.
Just like Norton stuff, you can never truly uninstall them.
And I agree... Yahoo IM is tons better.

Why don't you use something like Trillium. A multi-client chat application. http://www.ceruleanstudios.com/
It's what I used to use when I was on Windows.
Fwopping, you know you want to!
