  • What's up with eBay?

Maybe a few of you guys can answer this, because I can't seem to find answers on eBay's site, OR get a reply to an email.

I used to use, "<img src= (picture link in these)>", to display my pictures. Now however, they are not displaying pictures, nor are lines like "<p>" "<br>" and things working. Anyone have an idea?

I just listed 8 auctions last night and had no problem with it. Make sure the picture url is in quotes. Are you sure youre going to the html editor tab and not just the regular tab?

I've tried both, the HTML tab,a nd the standard tab. I've also tried both, in quotes, and out of quotes.

Maybe your image server doesn't allow external access to the folder the images are in? That wouldn't explain the other tags not working though...

try using a different browser. why not use the pictures uploader? Are your pics on a different website like photobucket or something?

Shouldn't it be [img instead of <img?

                  Nope the tag should be

<img src="http://some.address.online/directory/file_name.***" alt="description of image for the blind or people sill using lynx!">

With a pile of optional attributes if you want to be anal about positioning and the like.

IIRC ebay lets you use a limited set of html tags in your auction listings.
Are you sure that the images you want to display are working. Try another browser or looking at them using their URL. If they are on the server do you have the correct permissions for them?
