  • Vote for my friend's band

A friend sent this to me:

    Good evening,

My name is Hudson Eakin and if this goes as far as I would like it to,
you probably don't know me. I am a 17 year old student at Cape
Elizabeth High School in Cape Elizabeth Maine whose passion in life is
music. Recently my band has come upon such successes as getting signed
to a Illumina Recordsl in Boston, performing for crowds of 100s of
people, and starting work on a full length CD due to be released by
    the end of this summer.
Last year we partook in a local music competition, we were unprepared,
unprofessional, and scored a whopping 12th place out of a total 24
participants. Since then, our music, stage presence, and musicality
has improved -drastically- and we aim to win this years competition.
Dearest reader, would you please take a moment of your time and go to
    this website,
http://entertainment.mainetoday.com/rockoff/ and vote for us on the
public opinion poll. The first place winner will be entered into the
finals of the compeition as a Wildcard Finalist, our goal is to make
it to the finals on our performance, AND be first place on the public
polls. You can vote multiple times if you clear your browser
in-between votes, but we don't ask you to do anything more than vote
    for us once.
Thank you very much for your time, and we appreciate each and every
vote. Normally I despise chain letters, and delete them without even
reading them but we need a total of 162 votes to move from our current
position in 4th (which we rose to from 7th) to 1rst, so please forward
this message to anyone you know who would be willing to do this as
    well.
Again, thank you for your time and we appreciate your support. Without
people like you, we would be nothing.

It's pretty good. Simple and recycled, but then again I really only value the innovative and fresh. Check out Sikth.

It's pretty cool, im 18 and a couple of my budies dig the stuff in Wisconsin, but i prefer the shred style of the 80's with bands like dokken, warrant, and poison.
