Anyone get the recent Rush DVD? It was filmed during Vapor Trails. It's great. Wish I could find that old concert video MTV used to show back when it was worthy of the title "MTV".

And whoever left the display crap on that video oughta be shot.

Rush is great. One of my tests when I meet people who say they are bass players is to talk about Rush and see how they respond. More often than not the ones who don't like Rush can't play bass.

That old MTV concert was great. I wonder if they will put it out on DVD.

cool. I haven't listened to any of those songs for a long time. Red Barchetta was one of the first songs I learned as a teenager. They do such a good job live.

The new R30 concert video is great. Much better in video and audio quality than Rush in Rio.

They just came out with a 3 DVD set of their original 3 concert videos: Exit Stage Left, Grace Under Pressure Tour, and Show of Hands.

I don't know for sure, but I am guessing the MTV video you refer to is teh Exit Stage Left concert.

Still think Neil Pert is the best drummer bar none.....I'm sure that there are other opinions that contradict mine, but there is nothing that you can say, nor anything that you can show me that will change my mind. There are none better, and I really don't think that there will ever be.

I recently got this. I'm not familiar with the MTV vis, but the Exit vid is not represented in the You tube stuff posted above. The Exit is by far the best out of the 3 discs though. The best is them playing Xanadu where Alex is playing his double neck Gibby and Geddy is playing his double neck guitar/bass Rickenbacker!

Oh, and it's shot on film, whereas at least one if not both of the other 2 are shot in video.
