Cracker Barrel's are a great place to eat and they are so good that they are usually crowded, have a wait time and quick service can suffer sometimes. Sounds like another ploy to make some fast money.

Why is it as soon as a black person has anything like this go on it is discrimination? I have had times where I have sat for a while before being served at different places. I didn't think it was discrimination or anything, I just thought they had a crappy waiter/waitress. So now she is going to Sue for probably a few million over a 30 Minute wait. Tell ya what, I will wait all frekin day for 1/2 that.

I have often had to wait close to a half hour to get my order taken at Cracker Barrel, and I am a cracker!:ROTF:

I'm sure it was frustrating, but the manager offered them free meals. Did she just want the waitress to be humiliated in front of her, or what was her issue? I would be thrilled if the manager offered me a fre meal because of the wait - but that won't happen, because I'm NOT black.

There are plenty of real issues and incidents of racial bias, but then there is also the dynamic where anything that person doesn't like is "because I'm black". A poster on another board spoke of having a kid show up for a job interview in baggy pants, a wife beater and his underwear sticking out 6" from his pants. He told the guy, "Sorry, if you can't show up for the interview dressed presentably for an interview, I can't use you". Of course he was a bigot and ti was "because I'm black".

Easier to blame Whitey than take personal responsibility.

I agree 100%. We all know racism happens, and I'm certainly not one that agrees with it. But, its gotten to the point now that the race card is used as an excuse for being an asshole.

Just to-fucking-night I stopped off at a store for some beer on my way home from the casinos and had to stand there and wait for these 2 black chicks that work there to finish talking before one had enough fucking sense to take my money. Even then the waste of oxygen short changed herself! Oh well, let her explain to boss man why she's short!
