  • Las Vegas is pretty cool

First time there and enjoyed it. Not a big gambler, but did good. I didn't break the bank, but I won enough to pay for my hotel, rental car, food and my flight was for free.

I heard all the horror stories about Ed Romans here on the board. I wanted to check it out, but didn't get time. Did I miss anything.

Stayed at the Imperial, but hung out at Caesars, New York and Venitian. Venetian is a nice place.

lol......I never lose in Vegas. Break even a lot, but never lose. However I lived in NJ for 35 years and NEVER EVER won in Atlantic Shitty er, I mean City. Or do I?

I was just there for a few days, I did not lose a penny...because I didn't gamble AT ALL. Not one cent. I have no problems with people who like to gamble (my wife dropped a few hundred bucks), I just don't enjoy it. I did make up for it with expensive drinks though.

For me, Vegas is not that great of a vacation...except for the outstanding amount of eye candy.

It's surely not the bargain it used to be...

I go there quite often for work and while I really do like the city and all the crazy shit that is there and happens there, it does wear on you after a while. I stay in normal hotels off the strip now, and don't miss it much.

I do lose, and did so enough in the few times I tried gambling, that I know it's not for me.

The Palms is my favorite casino, followed by the Hard Rock (just for the music vibe).

Yeah, I live an hour out of AC and I've been there maybe 4 times in the last 10 years. I never won in all the times I've been there.

Not a big gambler, like I said, but I nickel and dimed Vegas to death. Put $5 in the penny slots, make $10 and walk away. That how I won my vacation money back.

I wasn't thrill about going there and gambling and using up my vacation days, but 13 of my neighbors went, so we all had a good time.

Just coming back also from Vegas. Had a real great time. Saw 4 Cirque shows. My favs were "Love" and "Ka". Gambled only like 5$ in the slots, won nothing... Anyway, didn't go there for that. Did a quick stop at Ed Roman, huge store, no service (no salesdude came to bug me), lots of guitars but nothing to go completely nut.

I love Vegas. Been a few times. I don't really gamble much, I just play the cheap slots and get free drinks.

Actually, I was supposed to be going there this weekend, but my babysitter bailed out and so...Grand Forks N.D., here I come!

My wife and I are staying at Grand Desert Resort for our anniverssary in May 07. Im not much of a gambler, in that I lose a lot. I have to be careful with things like drinking and gambling. I'm usually pretty aware of when to stop, but if I have enough of an excuse I'll forget there's a line and end up crossing it big time.

I'm excited about taking one of those helicopter rides to the canyon while we're there.

I went and visited Red Rock Canyon while I was there (1/2 hour away), the Hoover Dam. They opened it back up, so I got to take the tour down below. Pretty cool.

                          I don't do helicopters

Skipped the Grand Canyon this time cause my wife and I are planning on going to Flagstaff, AZ in the future, so I'll do it then.

The drinks were cool. I would get up and go over to the bar and pay $4 bucks for a beer, before one of the waitresses told me she can bring me it for free. I'm a dope. So I just sat there relaxed and threw her a buck each time she brought me a beer.

I asked if I could get a refund for the $16 bucks I already spent at the bar.
