  • Best produced albums of 2006 so far?

My votes go to AFI - Decemberunderground and the new Fear before the March of Flames - The Always Open Mouth. They both have awesome production and sound. On my top list of 2006.

          decemberunderground is indeed good.

i was a fan of Tool's production of their new release.

have to think some more about others...

            both kick arse albums

I can't really say. I don't pay much attention to how well an album is produced, only if it kicks my arse.

              Dissection - Reinkaos

I know it's odd for "best produced" to apply to a Dissection album, considering their previous works. It's pretty clear that the guitars are the emphasis, and they sound perfect.

Best 2006 production that I know of

Evergrey - Monday Morning Apocalypse (by far)
                Edguy - Rocket Ride

(Edited to remove Beyond Fear -- just listened and the production is not as good as I remembered.)

Hmmm I would have to vote for Tool's 10,000 days, nothing else that really stood out to me and my hopes were actually up to high for it. But it has grown on me.

I'll be meeting him in December when laying tracks down for Attaxe..I can't waite..he'll be doing drum tracks for Chimeria(sp) in the next room...He just did drums for the new Cradle Of filth..

he's basically known for drums..but to me he gets the best guiatr tones ever..if you can get a Krank to sound like that..I'd like to see what he could do with my Uberschall..

It was Peter Tangren for me for a while..but he got bumped by Andy Sneap in a hurry..!!

IIRC, he did the Masterplan albums. Can't argue in that case!
