    Never heard of Airfix - were they UK only? Even reading Fine Scale Modeler I don't recall running across the name.

      Airfix were legendary over here - that's a real shame.....

          Airfix is a name I remember well from growing up. I used to build model planes all the time. For the North Americans here, Airfix is like Revell, Monogram, or AMT.

            The only Airfix models I see here are 1/72 scale. That's way too small for me. But, I will buy all I can know that they may go kaput.

              Ah, now that I actually read the link, I feel pretty bad. Good journalism BTW overall.

              Sucks to have another staple in life fall away. Maybe they'll be reformed/come back?
