My only guess is the girl that was in a coma state was really disfigured in the face to be able to tell. Or denial.

That's fukkin' terrible. As crazy as it sounds, I can almost see how that mixup could happen if they were really that disfigured.

It explains in the article that she suffered cuts and bruises and facial swelling, and also that the girls bore an uncanny resemblance to each other.

Absolutely tragic... "Thay say" that she gave them the other girls name in her shaken state though, that didn't help much.

Saw it on the news. Very sad. They showed pictures of the girls side by side and they did look very similar.
