My singer had the exact same thing happen to him. Lucky for him he cannot remember a damn thing about it and they had him pretty well medicated that he doesn't remember much of the weekend after it. He broke his shoulder blade, which is hard to do, and a few ribs, but made a full recovery.

One thing worth noting is a complete stranger stopped, called 911 on a cell phone and stayed with him till the ambulance came. My singer tried to find out who she was and thank her, but she wished to remain anomous.

Ah crap, that sucks. Honestly I wouldn't be looking out for crossing deer cause it's not something you see in the city, but that sucks...
