Went to the final day of the Reading Festival (UK). Most bands were, frankly, a bit shitty (or at least not my style). Went to see two bands - Marilyn Manson & Iron Maiden. MM was ok - a good set & the new guitarist has a nice line in black LP customs (one with stock P/UPs & one with EMGs - he used the stock P/UPs for the really raucous guitar parts) & wild, zombie staring. BUT MM looked like he didn't want to be there, and it was just "lights off" & the band just walked off after their time slot, leaving the audience waiting for the next track - which never came. Now, the reason for this thread - the last train out of Reading was at 22:30 & it was a 40 min walk from the stage to the station - Maiden were on at 21:40 until 23:30. So I BLOODY MISSED THEM!!!
