• Music that gets your blood pumping.

Last night while sitting at a stop light, Accept's Balls to the Wall came on XM. The air guitar popped out of the steering wheel, and I started rocking out. Much to the embarassment of my wife and kids. I told her there is something about certain songs. I can't control myself, the heart rate increases the adrenaline starts to flow.

Songs Like
Balls to the wall - Accept
The Last Time - Badlands
Most Dokken songs
For whom the bell tolls - Metallica
Enter Sandman - Metallica
Badboys - Whitesnake
Tons more

There is something about songs with great guitar and drum intros that suck me in. I transform from mild mannered dad to steering wheel guitar god. I break out all of my tricks that I purchased from scrotem sound. Heavy metal faces, windmills, whammy necks. I don't care who sees me. ( but if for some reason if I am singing along with the wife to her pop songs Nsync, Backstreet boys, or some of her country favs. I stop singing when someone pulls along side the car....to embarassing to be caught singing that stuff in the car.)

Please tell me I'm not the only one. I'm sure there are other rush hour rockers out there. Fess up.

Ratt - Round and Round
...and dozens more.

Re: Music that gets your blood pumping.

Oh yeah, there are several that make me wail the wheel, so to speak....much to the chagrin of my fiance!!! Of course, it is best when I have my kids in the back...both ripping up the air guitar.

Let's see...some favs:

1. Somebody Get Me A Dr. (I have to do the harmonic trick);
2. Back in Black;
3. Its Not Love;
4. Cliffs of Dover;
5. Change It, solo;
6. Life Without You, solo;
7. 2112 Overture..and all riffs, heavy chord sections;
8. Shot in the Dark;
9. Rocket Queen, second half when chords come in;
10. Revelation Mother Earth.

Plus, countless others......

Mike
Sleep. The sound doesn't collapse to riffs of early eyes either.

Usually it's a few classics for me.
Master of Puppets, Reign in Blood, Number of the Beast.

Otherwise, The Melvins and Unearth are the two bands I reach for on a road trip. Unearth is like Iron Maiden played at 78RPM.
