Hey there newbie, I am NOT the JCFer you wanna piss off.

Anyways, everything is handled with Sound Arena, we're going back there Wednesday, and I'm bringing my own head this time. And for the record, Sound Arena is not like borrowing gear from a friend or small company. They are a LARGE rehersal chain here in Los Angeles, and they buy crap gear because they know how it gets treated. The guy that works there watched me kick over the bass amp and all he said was "You've got 10 more minutes". I have an excellent reputation both as a musician, guitar tech, T.V show host, and all-around friendly and helpful guy in this town, and there is nowhere I am not welcomed. I understand what you guys are saying about treating other people's gear with respect, and I am always repairing friend's gear for free or dirt cheap(I set up 2 guitars and a bass today for $30). I weighed the consequences of what I did before I did it, and I am 100% responsible for my own actions.

Bass set up (including strings) 40-50$
Guitar set up 30 for non-floyd 40 for floyd. These rates are low, I'm told compared to big cities.

Oh and on trashing the shit, good fucking job. Yeah, you probably treat other people's belongings a lot better than your own, but you're probably NOT GOING TO BORROW PIECE OF CRAP GEAR in the first place, and had you known you were getting crap, you would have just brought your own shit.

Best thing I saw was a band needed to borrow a guitar. Guy lends him one. Then the guy, and the guy he lent it to needed to borrow a guitar...the fucking guy smashed it. This was years back, when we used to go to those "underground shows" for like 5$. You'd go, there would be 10 bands, they all sucked, but it was a hell of a time.
