Well, the puppy did it. We thought he was a lost cause two months ago. He was stubborn and almost untrainable. But, thanks to an amazing trainer, we now have a very well mannered dog. And he's incredibly smart, too. She said he would be perfect for search and rescue work.

The picture didn't come out the best, but you can see we actually got him to hold still long enough to grab a shot with the cap on.

YEA! Give Rocco a milk bone.My son trains dogs for the humane society. Some of those dogs look like they will never learn but with patience and love it is amazing what you can get them to do.

Nah, he loves other dogs, doesn't matter the size. He was wanting to play with a 4 month old Pug last night. He's 7 months old and a little over 60 pounds. He'll probably be somewhere around 70-90 pounds when he's a adult. That's big enough that I feel safer about my wife being protected but not so big that he just wants to sit around the house all day.

And Bill, my wife came straight from the hospital so there's no telling what that wet spot really is. In fact, I don't think I want to know. And I think I'll start telling people he's a Yugoslavian Legghound. I bet 1 out of 5 people will say, "Oh yeah, I've heard of those. A friend of mine had one growing up." Fucking people.... Yeah, when we got him, he was a pretty high strung puppy. He would tug on his leash until he choked himself, jump up on every new person he saw. My wife really wants to be able to take him to nursing homes and children's hospitals. We think he'd be really good at it once he learns to stay calm around new people. He's such a happy dog all the time. And where ever we end up after I finish school, I think I'll look into someplace to train him for search and rescue.
