• Old set list

We had the Mullet thread which was quite entertaining, now all of your 80s guys fess up and tell us what you played in the clubs.
I was going through some boxes in the basement today trying to clear some stuff out. I found all kinds of old sheet music and tab. Mixed in with the tab was a partial set list from around 86-87.
We opened with
Detroit Rock City- Kiss
In My Dreams - Dokken
Somebody Save Me - Cinderella
Little Miss Hot Stuff - Original tune
Talk Dirty to Me - Poison
Turn Up the Radio - Autograph
Running with the Devil - VH
Curfew - Original Tune
Nobodys Fool - Cinderella
Bad Compnay - Bad Company
Lick It Up - Kiss
Wanted Dead or Alive - Bon Jovi
It's Not Love - Dokken
We also played Alone again - Dokken, and Do you love me - Kiss. But I don't remember were they went in the set list.

I don't know what is worst song order, song selection, or the fact I can't remember how to play 2/3's of them.

Do you guys have MP3s of your covers? They'd be great to listen to.

Cool sets, John! I've heard everything on there by local tribute acts (except for the Savatage stuff). When they're done well (as I'm sure you did), it really takes you back!

Thanks Ron. Man, I need to come there Ron and vacation to see some of those bands.

Thanks Bill... Those times were a lot of fun... Miss them a lot.

NOTP, seems most every time there was much recording done, it turned out crapful, we seemed to be cursed that way trying to capture the majic really. We have a few things but I cringe hearing them. Usually just bad recording, or the band trashing something important. Always made me mad, as I knew what we were doing was well done, but we never got versions I approved of on disk really. Bits and pieces, but not much.

Yeah Deneb, We made good money for a couple years and then the demand fizzled a buit after 9/11 and the money left. But, I never even thought about doing THAT stuff and making money really. It was just nice we did for a bit and had a draw.

Egotistically, (that particular band was my baby) I really just played what I personally enjoyed playing. I was quite surprised people were coming out and getting off on it.

Cleveland Metal it would have been a hell of a show. That is a great set list.

NOTP I wish I had a tape from back then. I haven't seen some of the guys from that band since 1989.
