Endrik, I played in a band with Mike Mangini from 80 - 82.
Even back then he was unbelievable. Very very, very funny guy!
He did a lot to teach me how to utilize practice time efficiently.
He's teaching over at Berklee now.

Mangini is just incredible, the fastest paradidels on snare and toms I've ever seen, if he even plays with his one hand he is as fast as the other drummers with two hands.

Yes he is an amazing drummer. I'd love to hook up with him again and jam sometime, but he's always traveling and doing clinics and stuff.
Hard to find time to pin him down.
He had just turned 18 when we were playing clubs and people would walk out of the clubs shaking their heads in awe at what they just saw.
We did all originals back then and Mike always had free reign to do what ever he wanted to so he was always very busy during the lead sections and we always wrote breaks in our songs where he could go to town.
ahhhhhhhh the good old days

I seem to favor "Them" more than "Abigail", but then again "Them" was my first exposure to King Diamond. (My friends and I used to do our music theory homework to that album)
