I got a nice wide snakeskin strap from a place here called Bonniedale farms.Pricey but really great quality sewn onto a nice thick leather.They are local but I think they deal online,I will try and find the site for you.

I love snakes, don't get me wrong, but I also understand the appeal of utilizing animal skins to make stuff. I don't shy away from leather, fur or whatever. Now then, who has a good recipe for rattlesnake gumbo?

I have two different snakeskin straps. One is on my RR1. It's not real but looks real and is super wide and comfortable. The other is a genuine Western Diamondback and I have it on my Taylor. I'll check where I got them both and let you know.

when I was looking for FAKE ones, I came across the real ones and the were in the 150-300 dollar range. I got my fake one for 15. I'm not one of those crazy animal lovers, but there are folks who just go out and kil snakes (especially rattlers) with no regard to how the snake population affects the environmaent. Many snakes are already endangered and for many others, it is almost impossible to even estimate their numbers. I enjoy leather things, but cattle are farm raised in millions to supply meat for americans, so their skins are going to be used anyway. SAVE THE SNAKES!

I hear you, man. There are illegal poachers all over the place. However, one would hope that repudable craftsman would only buy their skins from legitimate sources. For instance, as python is an endangered species, only farm raised python skins are legal, and there are certifications associated to each legitimate skin.

I was actually hoping to get one made out of kingsnake.
