• playing guitar on the john

Has anyone ever done this? I have never tried it, but I have heard it is very inspirational.
Light intervened, annihliating darkness.
The path of salvation made clear for the prodigal human race

I have never had a bathroom that would allow this type of activity. The crapper is always squeezed in between the sink counter and a wall. Maybe I should get one of those little Dean playmate 1/2 size guitars to keep in the toilet brush holder.

Yeah. The acoustics are really crappy.
Sounds like your playing in a can.

Trevor Rabin has said that he wrote "Owner of a Lonely Heart" whilst on the crapper. Really.

Didn't Spastik Children have a song called "What's That Smell?" ?

EDIT: Yup, and one called "Let Me Flush"

I once had to sit through band practice back in high school on the crapper. The other guys were in the garage and it was me, my 3A, and a Nady Wireless on the crapper rockin' out with my cock out.....

"That Smell" was perfected on the crapper by Allen Collins.

I've done it, but only electric. And I wasn't plugged in, so the sound didn't really make much difference. Lots of people do home recording in the bathroom, and I think Phil Spector got his "wall of sound" by having the entire band face away from the mic and towards the bathroom wall.

I've thought about it. A lot. There's certainly enough room at our place. But without having a wallhanger in there, the idea that I've got to rest the guitar against the wall while I wipe, and then pick up the guitar again on the way out turns me off.

Plus, there's the added danger that I'll forget the time and spend a couple of hours in there, cutting off circulation to my legs and doing permanent damage to myself.

Who the heck spends long enough dropping the Cosbys off at the pool to warrant playing guitar while doing so?
