Engls and 5150s are GREAT. Got rid of the Engl Powerball tho. Liked the Bogner better. The JVM rules. I have a 5150..um..6505+. I actually bought the first 5150 in the cleveland area in 1990. had 5 of them...um..6 now. I did play a used Carvin V3, and almost bought it before the Powerball 100.

I became a good guitar player since my absence here. I actualy sucked when I thought I was good a few years ago. I play every night for at least an hour or 5+..like a kid again. I must record something or something..but I'm my worst critic sometimes. But compared to anyone I know..I rule. That's not sayin' much. No there is some excellent players here ..most players know about Zaza..he's ok..

Slayer is what I was listening to ... 5150, 6505+ no difference it's the same amp the numbers changed. But yeah, I have the first one. The only Engl I own is called "ANGER" which is simulation through software and based on the Powerball in Amplitube 3. Doubt it's the same as the real thing, but its still nasty, and I like it!

Dude I MUST get in the now and stop being so old school. I have zero clue how to record stuff. I just play and wish I could save all the random ideas I won't remeber the next day. That part kida sucks. Nooo I heard some truley great sounding recordings with what your talking about. Some bands sounds way too cut and paste ..y'know with that digital clipping and all. Yeesh that rattles my nervers. The whole palm muted, polyrythmic stuff is cool. But most things I've heard lately sound so clamped and gated ..it truly sounds like a short in a speaker wire. Like at a fast food drive thru..


OK dude..gotta fly tonight. I hear my Charvel SD-1 calling my name. Ohhhh that's another thing. I had most of my stuff tuned all D standard. If you have high gain amps..who doesn't. Eb or standard is where all the life, dynamics in the guitars are..if you care about that sorta thing. I put most of them back to VH ready. Where all Jacksons Charvels should be IMO!

Got rid of the 10+ gauge duds. all back to 9's ERNIE BALL SLINKY PINKS!!! Got that ol' mojo back! I gotta sweet bass w/ 105s Rotosound, if feel the need to tear some fingertips.

My '72 Marshall1959 w/ NS-2 / SD-1 is sooooo F'n...LOUD!!!!! It shut down CERN this month. It did that. I have dark matter beings begging for more. I told ya I'm gonna F things up . Forget Napalm. This baby rips matter apart. I'm gonna shut down HAARP next!

It's simple, good monitors , an interface worth a fuck, Amplitube Metal 3 , Cubase 5 and Superior Drummer 2.0 with drum kit from hell and you're set.
I went ape shit buying shit in amplitube 3. Haven't used any of it in months... gonna build a new pc for recording this winter.

Yep. Got one for each of those...7 for the B. LP for drop D , and the D-tuna on the peavey wolgang.

That setup looks great. I should invest/learn home studio like that. That right there would be killer! OK man I will check into this. I'm inspired.
