        It could be worse.
He could be playing upright acoustic bass for Satch's smooth jazz quartet.

This is what I think of Gibson since 1993. I HATE BEING LEFT HANDED! I rock out to Baby metal because Wilkinsi said I can't listen to Rick Astley anymore.

Paul Gilbert already got that gig.

                    Holy shit, it gets worse.

                    Death DancePop Metal Rap

Then again, this one seems to be saying "Rap is 'bullying' Metal (I'm sure they mean in sales only), and that's fucked"
                    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nDqaTXqCN-Q

I can deal with the vocal tone as I watch a lot of Anime to begin with. As long as I don't actually know what they're saying (probably the same old Pop/Hair Rock bullshit), I'm ok with it.

They're obviously a manufactured act like NSink or BackseatBoys, but the music is done convincingly enough that it's got to have someone who knows Metal. I suspect Marty as producer if not performer, or both.

The music is kick ass but the vocals take a bit to get used to. I do like some j-pop stuff. Some is amazing actually, complex music scores and layers a lot of people wouldn't think about using, but some will make me gag. I watch a huge amount of anime so I'm used to it.
                      It's pronounced soops

i like them. it's fun stuff. i had a girlfriend a few years back that was HUGE into cosplay (VERY sexy) and she listened to jrock and jpop. i got into some of it, and still like a lot of it - but it's not my go-to music. like death metal and lady gaga, i have to be in a certain mood....
                        GEAR:

some guitars...WITH STRINGS!!!! most of them have those sticks like on guitar hero....AWESOME!!!!

some amps...they have some glowing bottle like things in them...i think my amps do that modelling thing....COOL, huh?!?!?!

                        and finally....

i have those little plastic "chips" used to hit the strings...WHOA!!!!

This is the only one of the baby metal songs that, for me, the vocals don't necessarily ruin the song.

My brother and I were discussing a while back how we feel extremely cheated that younger girls today (at least younger than us 40-something-staring-at-50-in-the-headlights) are into comic books, cosplay, and video games. Were I 20 years younger, I'd certainly seek out a hottie who does cosplay.

Like those two who do the Skyrim (Lydia) videos. Damn.

ijime Dame Zettai is actually an anti-bullying song. In Japanese it means "Bullying bad never". Nothing about rap in that one.

There actually is a slight connection to Marty Friedman. One of the guitar players in the live "ghost band" is a famous Japanese guitar player named Takayoshi Ohmura. He is in one of Marty's bands.

This one is just pure fun. Quiet Riot brought you Bang Your Head in 1983, Babymetal brings you Headbangerrrrrrr in 2013. Just try to not quit chanting "Hedobang Hedobang" after watching this one.

And with the real live band with Marty's guitar player. They always do things just a little different than us in the West. Fox sign instead of Devil Horns and they headbang sideways instead of forward and backward. LOL !
