1977 movie: American Raspberry - linked to Hetfield?

Just watched this on Netflix. Apparently it was a "me too" of The Kentucky Fried Movie, but with an even lower budget.


Anyhoo, there was one skit (Consumer Reports news thing) where the "shady business guy" tells the "consumer advocate reporter" to "eat fuck!" as he shoves him to the ground.

Could this be where Hetfield got the "eet fuk" idea for his Explorer? Hmmmm.

American Raspberry sometimes aka Prime Time. The print I saw was horrible! Did you make it through the whole thing Newc? I watched it yesterday, weird movie.
Have "If You Don't Stop It, You'll Go Blind" on tap for tomorrow night. Seems to be in the same vein.

Yup, watched the whole thing. Wasn't as complete as KFM (the Sexual Deviant Telethon was a bit over-done IMO, and The Paranoids was a bit of a stretch) but it had more laughs than yawns.

It did have some later "names" (or at least "faces") in it though - Harry Shearer, Warren Oates, and Basil Hoffman, at least.
