    yup.

My two youngest sons went to Job Corps. One in Maine, the other in NY State. I found them to be a good program, but I also found out, you get out of it, what you put into it. the resources are there. It could be a place just to hang out, as one of my sons did or they set you up, in job placement, housing, which my other son took advantage of.
Another thing is the facility. Some are better than others. Have more equipment to work with and are more organized. Hopefully, you son, if he goes, takes advantage of what they have to offer and the facility he's going to is a good one. Good luck.

Good for him! The facility looks good. I like their choices of vocational jobs. One of the jobs that I know a little about is 'Welding'. That was a very good choice (for my son) because of its advancement opportunities. The welding school has several levels and they do have a school, if the student wants to continue on, as an underwater welder (ship hulls, etc). Thats big bucks. But like I said Len, its all there, but up to the student to really absorb as much as he can. One of my sons did, one of them didn't.
It was nice getting some alone time with my wife too when my house became empty.....
