    I think its an important part of shaping the sound from the guitar.
    I usually tweak it for the bridge and then the neck, find what I like and remember it so i can adjust back on the fly as needed.

      hard to answer...do i use it yeah since its wired....but like others it stays on 10 so i never touch it.....you could almost say i dont have one......or that i'm not an active user......

        I do on my guitars that have a tone control. More so on the neck pup than the bridge though.

            i voted yes, but feel that there should have been better choices like:

            yes
            no
            yes, but I always leave it on ten.
            yes, but only on the neck pickup.

              I spend way too much money on high end MIDI controlled preamps and equalization and just want to send as pure signal as I can to the rack. Definitely not interested flavoring it with a 15 cent cap and another potentiometer.

              I use a volume pedal, and for much of the the music I do, I could even forego an onboard volume pot to some extent...
