    Well, I'm not "just say'n" bro, I've lived it and done it. Let me tell you again, it matters NOT whether paint is on or off. Guaranteed. I had several Jacksons painted and know what they sounded like before and of course after. NO DIFFERENCE.

      Oh, I'm not disagreeing with you regarding pup covers and "tone".
      I'm just sorta questioning whether painting hardware is really the best solution.
