I didn't know that there was a "previous incarnation" of this thread. I searched but there are a ton of threads that mention Flyods and Kahlers without actually discussing Floyds or Kahlers.

I always soldered the winds. I also pre-bent the strings where they pass over the cam. I'd like to try a better nut on my Bich that has the Kahler pro. I was always afraid I'd mess up the tuning on a Floyd with palm muting. Hasn't been a problem and I prefer the response of the Floyd. I do like having both.

I love Floyds, but I'd take an Ibanez Edge or Lo-pro over BOTH of these brands..............(ducks for cover!!)

I have an OFR and an Lo-pro. I think I like the OFR better. Its just built better IMO
