Hey, I fixed it!! I took off the pedal, loosened the screws on the metal strap, bent the strap down a touch, put the pedal back on, then tightened the screws holding the strap down from the bottom with a nut driver. Nice and stiff now.

Glad you got it fixed. Since you asked, mine does not have grease on the pin. I got it 2nd or 3rd hand in the early '80's so it might have had some at one point.Comment
