    if you use a chemical stripper there are some that will remove the paint but leaves Jacksons white base primer behind. I know the stuff I used works for this it comes in a copper colored spray can. it took off the clear & color coat but left the primer, its also good because the primer was perfect & just needs to be cleaned & final sanded before you can paint.

      I love using Sterlings 5F5 to strip. It also leaves the base primer coat. Nitrocellulose is rather delicate compared to most other finishes, even acrylics.

        Did anybody said to sand, use a tack rag, then use a sealer before doing any other painting job?
