    I'm an 18v guy too. The only problem I have with it is I had to re-EQ all my amps because the 18v system sounds so different.

          I fully support this as well, except it makes the single coil mode on the 89 alittle too twangy in my opinion (I just adjusted for this on my amp).

          I don't know why emg just doesn't stock ship 18volt connectors.

            I also recommend 18Volts.... I discovered the mod about 10 years ago and have always hated 9v EMGs since.... opens up the pickups quite a bit, and also makes the whole shebang more dynamic and responsive.

            In my basses I even use 27V for maximum headroom while not exceeding the EMG specs
