I think I need Nut files

I'm guessing that comment was made assuming the replacement nut would be a blank?
Do they not make pre-cut nuts anymore?

I always use pre-cut nuts myself. My few attempts at shaping them from scratch were *not* pretty

Even with a pre-cut nut you will have to do some tweaking - I've only had one drop in and be right without additional filing.
