Re: Kill switch question

If your partial to keeping your idea of a concentric pot for tone/volume, then you could try making a killswitch pedal (assuming you can move your foot quick enough). Or make a little box you can clip to your strap and house the killswitch in that. These are just some ideas, I don't know how practical this might be for you, but then you could still use your controls for others thing and still not have to drill your guitar. I would use a momentary switch for any of these.

I think Planet Waves also makes a cable with a killswitch in it.

<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">Good idea! I've got an old Rocktron Surf Tremolo pedal that's got out puts for two different wave forms (the same pedal Jeff Hanneman actually uses). I haven't used it in awhile, but I probably should start using it again. I probably shouldn't drill any more holes in the guitar either. The push/push pot sounds like a good idea, too.

i have an older ibanez roadstar II with a coiltapped push/push knob and hate it!

you can't tell which position its in untill you strum it, which can really mess you up live. i like to be able to see what position its in, you know.

here you go. don't change anything about it.

just make quick volume outs with your pinky when needed and let some other schuck do the "machine gun" on off sound.

its just not worth your trouble.

It's kinda hard to reach with my pinky. Look where the volume control is!

You mean your pinky isn't 8" long and doesn't bend backwards like the rest of ours?
