My Charvel Star should be here in a couple days. I love doing the Drop-D thing sometimes and was thinking of possibly installing a D-Tuna, but I may just get the Tremol-No instead.

Whew. Okay, cool. I wanna use that, and a D-Tuna, to drop tune, and keep it stabilized.

        Hey guys! I'm back!

Whew...the last few weeks have been Blood Pressure Central.
When the Tremol-No began to ship this past Monday, I got 394 non-Cialis emails that day, all about the T-No. I knew you guys would like it, but didn't expect this kind of response! Thanks!

Brent- the T-No looks great in your guitar! If you want, you can trim the plastic rods (wire cutters, nail clippers, etc.). Untrimmed, they might prevent you from raising pitch/pulling up all the way with the trem. Your call.
Sure does look pretty installed with that natural finish on the body!

Sorry about the ring terminal for the grounding wire. AllParts and I decided against that for now. We had problems finding ones that were small enough that didn't yank the price up. Most hardware stores have small ones; a pack of 20 for about $1.
Another oops is that the instructions still say "...using the provided ring terminal..." LOL I guess these are the lessons that you learn when first launching a product.

I'm going to try to get over here more often, but if you guys need me, you can always catch me via email. Let me know if you have any questions. I'd be happy to help out.

        Thanks!

No problem with the ring terminal. I just got a real small one and soldered it on. I hate crimping. I figured Allparts was really jumping around. They had everything last week, except a spacer was missing, so they shipped it last Friday.
I was wondering about snipping the ends of the screws. I figure they are extra long for wider sustain blocks like a Fender. The Floyd sustain block is obviously narrower. Yes, they do run up against the back of the cavity so I'll trim them.

            Kevan
I'm looking forward to getting mine this week in the mail.
I hope you make some coin on this.
Anything else up your sleeve? or is your BP high enough already?

Bengal- there should be a couple of extra screws in different lengths in the package for the tailpiece. Use the one that doesn't require trimming.

The plastic pins, though, those can be trimmed. Like you said, Fender and guys with thick trem blocks will need the extra length, or can replace the plastic ones with the (included) stainless steel one to prevent flexing.

The spacer thing was kinda funny.
AllParts and I had everything planned to arrive at their warehouse the same week. The factory messed it all up by delivering EARLY!!! (I love the factory we found....) When the AllParts sales guys saw the T-No's in-house, they ran for the phones and computers. They didn't know that the spacers were still a couple of days away. :-)

The company that did the spacers has this cool machine called a turret. It's like a badass hole punch....that can punch thru 1" aluminum! I swear it lives on fingers. It's loud as hell, but man is it cool to watch in action, from a distance. LOL The spacers were finished on Saturday, and I drove down and picked them up, then overnighted them to AllParts.

A little Tremol-No history for everyone.

Finnman- thanks! It's gonna take a while to get "back in black" (sweet pun), but I'm patient.
There are a couple of other things in the pipe, but none of them are music-related. Maybe something in the future, but nothing on paper right now.

              Thanks again folks!

I've got some fun stuff for everyone:

                My first interview!

                http://www.musicgearsource.com/kevan.html

I know the site is a little rough, but....well, they're new.

Also, we just upgraded our forum! I finally had enough of the zero-support from the old ASP-based guys and dropped the coin for the sweetass VBulletin stuff (just like the JCF!).

                http://www.tremol-no.com/forums/

It's pretty much just product talk over there; no off-topic stuff. As nice as it is to have threads about how yummy Jessica Alba's ass is....we'll keep it a little more focused. LOL

                Thanks again, folks!
Pssst- you guys are the first to know about the new forum.

Cool Kevan, nice to know. I changed out the longer screw to a shorter one and snipped the plastic pins, so I have plenty of room now. Works great!

When I use the Trem, I like the Hipshot Tremsetter much better because of it's dampening affect on the movement.

not so much serious as it is having too many guitars I can use this on, 2 floyded guitars will get this and a d-tuna right away. The other one I am going to experiment with in a couple other guitars, one with a vintage trem, one with a wilkinson, it will probably end up in my Tyler with the Wilkinson

I have tremsetters on a couple floyded Hamers and I do like the way it takes some of the warble out

Why bother with a D-Tuna if you're going to use the Tremol-No? Just use the fine tuner on the Floyd to go from E to D. The fine tuner really does have a one-step range.

Because the D-Tuna takes the tuning step out of it.Pull it out,you are in D instantly. It's a no brainer.
