Re: String Brands??

Elixer strings sound great on acoustic, ok on electric. I dont like them, they feel really slick and greasy.

I'm a die hard Ernie Ball user. They just last longer than any other brand I've used.

I'm with Pete, I couldn't tell the difference in a any of the brands I've tried, but I could sure FEEL a difference.

I use DaDarrios now all the time just cause I like the way they feel. I tried Boomers , but the same guage felt like they were a LOT lighter than the Dadarrios.

I tried Ernie Ball strings 3 times and 2 of those 3, the G and B strings had black crap on them right out of the package, the 3rd set had it within 2 days

I haven't heard anyone mention Black Diamond Strings. I would like to try them, but I can't find them around where I live for some reason.

Whats the difference in a hex and a round core as far as the feel of a string?
