  • tremolo brass block from stew mac

I'm thinking about getting this for my Jackson. Has anyone got this installed from Stew Mac and was it worth it?

I've installed a 32mm big brass block from Floyd Rose on my Jackson Soloist. It does add a huge amount of low end warmth, but it goes to the point of losing some balance----the high end no longer seems as prominent.

I'm going to try a titanium block from an ebay seller (also from Floyd Rose when they are in stock) next as they are supposed to increase everything more, with an emphasis on high end. I simply cannot pay FU-Tone money for titanium, however.

Yeah, they want $440 for their titanium block!!!

You can get a generic one on ebay for $60. It's still titanium and therefore has the properties of titanium. It's not like FU Tone has Titanium from Mars or something.....

I personally like Tungsten. You get the same weight as a brass big block in a standard sized block with Tungsten. It also lends to a more aggressive voice with gain. You can get them from Floyd Rose: https://floydrose.com/collections/up...nt=29837597010

You can also get Titanium blocks from Floyd Rose much cheaper than $440. When they have them in stock that is. They currently only have the 42mm Titanium blocks in stock: https://floydrose.com/products/froti...nt=29839715282

All of my Floyds have the Tungsten block.
