I just signed up for the forum. Your post, for some reason, was the first one I checked out. It's funny because I hear the same difference between the old and new Floyd Rose. More wood contact. That's why hardtails sound bigger than trems. Don't worry, I'm wacked too. For some reason, I can hear the difference between a 12ax7 with or without a piece of shrinkwrap around it. Anyone know what that does? However, I'm not quite sure how it would sound with beer and peanuts in it. Although I like beer & peanuts are OK too.
