What pickup did you decide on for the bridge? EMG 85?

For now, I have the 85 in the bridge so I'm keeping the SAs in there for now, but I do plan on changing them to passives in a couple months, just to test it out. I was thinking one of the SD stacks

How do you like the 85 in there compared to the 81?

SAs should be good with the 85.

For passives, if you want Duncan and noiseless.....the Classic Stack Plus pickups are nice and should blend well with a Screamin' Demon in the bridge.

I have a JB in my SLSMG and it sounds amazing. Full mean and clear. I love the custom custom for just about everything. I have a DD in my Dean and it can get a bit muddy at times. Same with the JB in some woods as it foes in my SLSMG when its down tuned. The Custom Custom stays clear when down tuned. I had a full shred in an older RG that was basswood and it sounded dull and lifeless. I had a Custom for a while in my SD strat head and it sounded really nice but i think it had gone bad on me as it was dead on a meter but sounded fine in a guitar. Much like Eddies PAF in Frankenstein. I font like EMGs much bit switching from an 81 to an 85 is fine. But going from wither to a 89 you need a 5 wire connecter. So it wont just swap out. So Custom or Ciustome Cistom could be what your lookingfor. Or the Pearly Gates. Is a tad over PAF output. but sounds hotter than it is.

Still have the 85 in the bridge or did you end up going to something else?

Just curious. I currently have three guitars with an 85 in the bridge. lol

+1 Classic stack plus does compliment the Demon very well. I speak from experience.
This is what I think of Gibson since 1993. I HATE BEING LEFT HANDED! I rock out to Baby metal because Wilkinsi said I can't listen to Rick Astley anymore.
