      Agreed, great info. I read to check at the 8th fret but I can see why the 12th might also be a good indicator. I think my neck is fine, so.....IM ALL SET UP!

        Again, I'm at work and can't go to youtube, so I can't see what the video is saying... But I've heard 2 theories on checking relief. #1 - Hold the first and last fret (24th in this case) and check at the 12th. And #2 - Hold the 1st and 17th and check at the 8th. The reason I do the latter is if you look at your guitar (or this one here for reference.. http://www.discgolfreview.com/forums...p?f=15&t=19984 ), You'll see that the body/neck joint ends at about the 18th fret. Nothing higher than that is going to move when the trussrod is adjusted. So the only relief is going to be from 1-17 or so. And 1/2 way in that range is the 8th fretwire. This is a good rule of thumb for every guitar whether different scale, # of frets, etc..
