True. You need to buy the Schaller version and they are wide enough to fit and do the job well.

Didn't know Stewmac had these so cheap. I had a nice black FR II with locking saddles and a brass sustain block.

The later, double-locking Floyd II (Schaller) was not the same as the original, cheap, single-locking Floyd II. The single-locking version was shitty... I had one (still have it laying around somewhere) on my '87 ('86?) Kramer Striker 600ST.

So it was a Schaller. There wasn't anything cheap about the one I had. Fit and function were excellent.
