hehe, ja, I'm totally not US-based.
I'm from Germany (I also added that to my profile Information now).

Ok, I think I get it: chemicals could work, but could also go wrong.

This body is gonna get a nice hand-made treating.

Has anyone ever tried to put a Fender-style neck on a Charvel Body? Any experience?

    greetz from overseas

@6string40: no it definitively didn't look like that. This is nice an shining, but the one I found on that body was "ugly ass" plus the paintjob was unprofessional^2

Neck pockets are of different sizes so no the Fender neck won't fit.
Pour the stripper in the cavities let it dissolve the paint them scrape it out simple as that.
      Really? well screw Mark Twain.

Interesting... Didn't even dull the paint?

I've heard guys recommend that stripper and since it's supposed to take paint off of cars, it should work on guitar finishes since it's basically the same kind of paint.

Back when I did my last stripping (late 80's) I used Bix Tough Jobs stripper, and it worked well. The regular Bix wouldn't touch it, really- but it did dull it; left it dull and chalky but wouldn't remove it.
