a few even passes with 400-600 grit wet sandpaper will do the trick. I do that to all my necks that are not unfinished/tung oil'd. I hate the tacky stick feel of finnished necks

I use a Scotch Brite pad, as I said, which works for a couple of days.

This isn't an issue with gloss on the neck, it's an issue with lacquer necks and my sweat.

So, sanding it isn't going to fix it. Unless I go all the way down to the wood.

The prudes may snub them, but I don't care.
          I dont need furniture.
If its tough, shreds, and screams, Its all good.
If it gets jacked, I'll get another one.
          And rock that sucker.

Thanks. I love it except for the lacquer...

I have to go to WalMart on Saturday anyway so we'll see what I come home with... I already have acetone.

Yep... Got some wipe-on poly and some other junk. But I was too busy doing fret-end dressing to get to it.

Actually I think I'm going to see how long in between scrub-downs it takes before it gets nasty. I really don't want to strip the whole neck to make it look nice, and it does look nice now... But I definitely will not be ordering any more satin-finished Warmoth necks.

Tru-oil is a hard finish. Warmoth warranty will still apply with a Tru finish

Why do I still want MORE?
