I recently had a WR1 returned with completely smooth looking board - literally so you can't even see the grain, but I can't remember what was used to oil the board. Likewise, I can't remember what was used to get the frets all shiny again. Someone please jog my memory.

To shine the frets you should use #0000 steel wool. The fibers get everywhere, I usually do this over an old towel and fold it over the pickups so they don't stick. I've used this stuff for the ebony board and it works really well.

I bought one of these from my local dealer. Happy with it so far.
