best line on that article....What about the Janick Gers model, we hear you ask. Um, we’ll get back to you on that one…
Ha ha, exactly! Like anyone cares.
I like that Dave sig strat - at least it looks like his classic strats, instead of just looking like a bog standard strat, even down to having single coil sized pups.
I'm happy for Adrian and now to hear the good news for Dave I'm happy for him as well.
It's about damn time some of the deserving players have their name on a guitar aint it?!
Wish I was right handed.....fuckin story of my life.

Hahaha I feel ya man!
As far as I'm concerned he can stay with Dean and play his dots+fins KV copies, and whatever that aborted fetus he "designed". More like "I saw it in my puke". -Newc
Tung Oil is for guitar necks. Tongue Oil is a by-product of cunninglus. -Metalchurch79
I'm gonna be the Left Handed Ed Roman and start building copies of all the awesome guitars out there to supply the Lefty Brethren....

I've wanted to see Fender release a Dave Murray strat for a while. I am both pleased and annoyed. Pleased because it's an iconic guitar, I'd love to have one and he deserves a signature gutiar far more than a lot of people that get them. Annoyed because I'm still a student and can't afford to buy one the moment it comes out...
Dave Murray is a legend. He deserves nothing less than a USA custom shop signature. He is on par or even exceeds the level of many custom shop artists. Producing his signature guitar in japan or Mexico is a disgrace.
I don't know - it don't get my cojones tensing up as much as the adrian smith model, and I think I like Dave's original strat more than Adrian's Jacksons.
not many people could afford an USA custom shop model though.. so i think japan made is a fair compromise. affordable quality is what they should go for. and i would sure like one
You can't play no muthfuggin' arpeggios on a tuba...
I hope that neither the Jackson nor the Fender are going to be custom shop guitars. They don't need to be custom shop! For what? They're just modified Strats. There's no custom graphics or fancy wood involved here! I don't want to have to pay up the ass for a custom shop decal on the back of the headstock. There's no reason that Jackson and Fender can't offer these at reasonable prices with American quality - especially in this economy.

Actually, it looks like it's MIA as part of the artist line that includes, EJ, EC, and YJM.
Should come in at $1400 - $1600 if so.
I like it better than the Jackson.
