playing a synth is kinda strange...you can play the way you would normally but most of us who have played them our style changes to suit the sound or patch being used...i actually watched maiden england last night and they did have a keyboard player as well...but as far as playing on a synth?...there is no good way to describe it...everyone reacts to it differently really...d.m.

I don't know the specifics, but I'd assume the bridge hum is a DiMarzio Super Distortion...

I would agree that it is an SD, cause that has been Smith, Murray, and Gers' pickup for years.

Not Gers. He's used stacked / sidebyside hums since he joined Maiden. And Davey has used Duncan Hotrails for years now....

I have seen Gers with a Strat that had a humbucker in it, so I'm guessing that it was a Super Distortion as well, because it looked exactly like a SD. I've seen the other guitars he usually plays, so I know what you are talking about there.
Murray used SD's years ago, and I'm sure that he still does from time to time as well

After NAMM is what I'm hearing. I guess that means the guitars will be on show at NAMM and they'll start appearing in stores not long after that....
