      Awesome!

As a fellow new owner of a 98 PC-1 I say welcome. I absolutely love my '98 too. Nice quilt and sweet fretboard.

Any idea what your backing wood is under the maple?

        It would be Mahogany.
All PC1's with a solid finish on the back have been Mahogany.

Thats as nice as a fretboard can get! And the quilt on that is what
Jackson should do now...mine was 3 times darker, and you could barely
see the quilt in the middle of the body...but mostly it looked like a plain
black axe. But then ...i paid $1300 Euro and the Sustainer works!

Beautiful PC-1 you have there...could NOT LOOK any better!!

This one you can barely tell it's quilted!
And if your fretboard is a 10..(it is!) then the modern boards are a 1~!

Hey man, is that a Charvel model A in the background? How does it compare to the PC1?

^It´s a San Dimas III Reisue from 1995....

Sounds close, but I would say that the Charvel has more bass.., they both have plenty of harmonics but they are in different tunings and have different pickups at the moment so this can´t be a full compare...

Thanks for the reply man. Would you say the Charvel and the PC-1 are about the same level in quality of construction, playability, etc? What about the neck profiles, are they pretty similar?

Love the Mocca PC-1 by the way.

They feel quite equal in quality for sure I would say that the Charvel feels a little more solid and well built but maybe that is just me..

Back in 2000 when I bought the Charvel...the PC1 Solar they had in the store cost more than the Charvel...

For neck profiles the Charvel is quite thinner than the PC1 but the PC1 is not bad at all just a little more beefy than a solorist I would say..
